Scope of Work
This project involved the full refinishing of a Nor-Tech 39 Super Vee high-performance hull. Work focused on structural surface correction, fairing, and the application of a professional multi-stage marine coating system designed to withstand offshore operating conditions.
The objective was not only aesthetic restoration but also surface uniformity, durability, and resistance to mechanical stress and marine exposure typical of high-speed vessels.
Restoration Process
Assessment
Inspection of hull surfaces for imperfections, previous repair marks, and irregularities affecting finish quality and hydrodynamic smoothness.
Surface Preparation
Orbital sanding, localized fairing with marine filler, and precision surface leveling to achieve structural and hydro uniformity prior to priming.
Primer System
Application of a two-coat polyurethane primer system to seal the substrate, stabilize repairs, and create a controlled base for finishing coats.
Finish Coating
Application of two metallic marine paint coats followed by three layers of 2K marine varnish to deliver depth of gloss and UV resistance.
